VERDICT If you’re shopping on sound quality and have broad tastes then the Beats are a safer bet, but the Bose might win you over if your music library isn’t too bass heavy. If you’re shopping on portability then the Bose come out on top they’re more comfortable to wear and easier to stow in your bag or pocket. Beats Solo2 $259.95 The Beats are good all-rounders in terms of sound quality, with a rich high-end and strong but not overpowering bass. Whatever your tastes, the well-balanced sound lets them do justice to thumping bass without burying screaming guitar solos. Thankfully they’re not brutes, they’re still delicate enough to bring more nuanced music to life.

Basket Raffle at Library To Benefit Literacy Unlimited | Framingham, MA Patch
Tickets are on sale until May 31. There are a total of 17 baskets including a Kindle, Bose headphones, Keurig brew machine, wine and chocolate, power tools, American Girl theme and Red Sox theme. Tickets sell for $2 each or 6 for $10. All proceeds support Literacy Unlimited, a program that tutors adults in English as a second language, basic literacy, citizenship and GED preparation. Established in 1986 and housed in the Framingham Public Library, Literacy Unlimited is a member of Literacy Volunteers of Massachusetts.
